In demand: But Simon Kjaer has reportedly turned down Manchester City
Denmark defender Simon Kjaer has reportedly turned down the chance to join Manchester City.
Palermo are said to have accepted an £18million offer from City for the highly rated 20-year-old, who is also on Manchester United's radar.
However, Kjaer is keen to see out the season in Italy before re-considering his future after the World Cup, according to IMScouting, who have close links to clubs, agents and football figures from across the world.
Roberto Mancini is keen to strengthen his leaky defence after taking over from Mark Hughes at Eastlands, but this week said Kjaer was not on his agenda.
However, it is claimed that 6ft 2in centre half Kjaer had already snubbed City's advances.
Russian champions Rubin Kazan have emerged as rivals to sign Kjaer.
